GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — A 90-year-old pilot from western Michigan and her 84-year-old copilot are pledging to fly to 48 states.
Mary Creason said her children gave their permission for her lifelong goal. They told her, ‘‘Go for it, mom.’’
Creason and her copilot departed Sunday from Grand Haven. WOOD-TV said they planned to stop in New York State, and then go to Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire.
Creason said they don’t have a firm schedule. Flight-aware.com shows the Grumman AA-5 Tiger plane landed Sunday in Buffalo and then Syracuse, N.Y.
Hawaii and Alaska are not on Creason’s list.
